Interesting that Delaware is the only state in the Northeast that is on the list. However, it is important to note that this could affect vacationers that go to Rehoboth, Dewey, Bethany and Fenwick Island Beaches in DE, as DC area residents do frequent those beaches.
Ironically, New York added Maryland and Virginia to their list of states that would be required to quarantine coming into that state last week. Maryland and Virginia are not part of DC’s list.
But what this shows is that in these 27 states the Coronavirus Outbreak has gotten bad enough that DC wants you to stay away or quarantine. If you do not follow the quarantine, you risk 90 days in jail or a $5000 fine.
Mayor Muriel Bowser is threatening to pull back from Phase 2. She is doing this to protect the vulnerable residents of DC.
More and more states and DC are putting travel restrictions in place as the pandemic spreads rapidly in parts of the US.
So far Maryland and Virginia have not put travel restrictions in place. But Virginia’s governor has also threatened to roll back the reopening if the infection numbers continue to rise in Virginia.
As was said at the time — opening too soon would lead to spiking levels of Covid-19 and potentially shutting down again. This prediction is continuing to look like it may come true, unfortunately.
